Pinay ace makes big jump in WTA rankings
Alex Eala is expected to receive a significant boost in her Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) singles ranking following her breakthrough title win at the Guadalajara 125 Open in Mexico over the weekend.
The 20-year-old Filipina climbed to No. 61 in the live rankings after her victory, a notable jump from No. 75 following her second-round exit at the 2025 US Open last week.
Although still five spots shy of her career-high ranking of No. 56 set in late June, the rise in her standings serves as a major confidence boost heading into her upcoming campaigns.
