National University struck back at University of Santo Tomas, 25-23, 25-23, 25-23, to barge into the finals of the UAAP Season 87 men's volleyball at the Smart Araneta Coliseum Wednesday afternoon, May 7.

- By MARK REY MONTEJO

Aside from denying another upset attempt and redeeming themselves from a four-set loss to the Golden Spikers in Game 1 of their semifinal duel, the five-peat seeking Bulldogs showcased their championship pedigree to advance to their 10th consecutive finals appearance.

It marked the longest finals streak for a team in the men's side as it eclipsed the previous record of nine straight of UST from Seasons 57 to 65.
