Ahtisa Manalo: All set for the international pageant battle
Manila Bulletin
|October 9, 2025
Miss Universe Philippines 2025 Ahtisa Manalo is poised to shine on the international stage as she prepares for the Miss Universe beauty pageant in Thailand, set for Nov. 21.
"I am absolutely 100 percent ready," Ahtisa declared with enthusiasm when asked about her preparation for securing the coveted fifth Miss Universe crown for the Philippines during a recent interview with Dyan Castillejos for ABS-CBN.
Fresh from hosting her inaugural international event at the Mister International 2025 pageant in Thailand, Ahtisa reflected on her experience. "It was a brief but fruitful trip. I truly enjoyed immersing myself in a vibrant new culture; the warmth of the people was heartwarming," she said.
Diving headfirst into her preparations for the prestigious competition, Ahtisa places a strong emphasis on her physical fitness.
"I run now—something I never imagined I would do! I work out daily. I incorporate Pilates and yoga into my routine, striving for two workout sessions a day if possible: one for cardio and another for weightlifting. The transformation I feel inside is incredible," she said.
Beyond honing her physical form, Ahtisa is meticulously preparing for various aspects of the pageant, including the Q&A segment, pasarela, styling, hair, and makeup. However, she acknowledges that the emotional weight of the competition is what truly tests her.
