₱32-M aid for Cagayan, Batanes residents affected by 'Nando' set

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will extend ₱32 million in emergency employment assistance to residents of Cagayan and Batanes provinces whose livelihoods were affected by tropical cyclone "Nando.

The assistance will be implemented through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) program, benefiting 5,750 individuals from 13 coastal towns in Cagayan and six municipalities in Batanes.

In Cagayan, Calayan will receive the largest allocation with 1,500 beneficiaries, followed by Aparri, Claveria, and Gonzaga with 350 workers each.
