Weekend's bus strikes cancelled, say union

BEE Network bus strikes set to take place this and next weekend have been cancelled, union chiefs have confirmed.

Drivers on 190 services were set to walk out for three days, yesterday, today and Monday in a row over pay.
But the industrial action involving 2,000 drivers working for Metroline and Stagecoach, companies Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) uses to run Bee Network buses, is now on-hold.
Trade union Unite announced on Thursday that yesterday's strikes would not go ahead after Metroline and Stagecoach came back with a new pay offer.
