Sudden closure of popular Latin bar

A MUCH-LOVED drinking venue has suddenly closed its doors after 13 years.

Farewell drinks were held at Sandinista, the popular Latin bar and restaurant on Old Bank Street, just off St Ann's Square, on Sunday.

While bosses have not officially confirmed a closure on their social media channels, or issued a statement, the bar did re-share a number of posts on its Instagram of a closing party, with customers playing tribute.
