RULES AROUND VAR AND 'KEEPERS' CHANGE FOR NEW SEASON

CITY have been informed of the rule changes that will be implemented in the new Premier League season, particularly regarding VAR and goalkeepers’ time wasting.

United jetted off to Chicago on Tuesday as they embark on the summer preseason tour across the pond. City meanwhile are having a very different preseason due to their involvement in this summer's Club World Cup and their players are currently getting some much-needed rest before the campaign begins. Either way, all players in the top flight have a firm eye on the weekend of August 16 when the serious competition starts.

Ahead of the start of the professional football season, which kicks off for Leagues One and Two on the first weekend of August, IFAB have confirmed the rule changes that will be implemented.

There are two notable changes for Premier League clubs starting with VAR.
