REDS SEAL DEAL FOR WONDERKID

Cristian Orozco

Orozco plays for Fortaleza CEIF and has captained Colombia's Under-17 team - The Manchester Evening News reported last week that the club had reached a preliminary agreement to sign the teenager.

Identified as an exciting young talent with potential to be a first-team player, Orozco is the latest youngster to be targeted by United. It's understood that he won't move to Old Trafford until he turns 18 next year.

Transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano has reported that the details are sealed and signed to finalise the deal for Orozco with the fee set at $1million (£741,000). The journalist has claimed that the United lawyers have approved the paperwork and the midfielder will move to England next summer.

Orozco is set to arrive at Old Trafford with a similar profile to Sekou Kone.

He signed from Malian club Guidars FC for around £1m in 2024, having impressed scouts at the Under-17 World Cup.
