ABANDONED SICKLY POOCH IN 'APPALLING CONDITION' IS NOW THRIVING AFTER BEING CARED FOR BY RSPCA
Perla before and after her treatment
A FRIGHTENED puppy who was dumped with bare, bleeding skin has undergone an incredible transformation and has found her forever home.
The sickly pooch, thought to be between 14 and 16 weeks old, was discovered roaming near a freezing canal last January.
A dog warden picked up the pup by the Rochdale Canal near Chadderton Hall Park in Oldham.
Vets were stunned to find that the young Cane Corso was battling a serious skin condition which left her appearance severely affected.
The puppy was christened Perla by rescuers and moved to the RSPCA's Greater Manchester Animal Hospital.
Following months of dedicated care, she has at last been taken in by dog lover Sandra Hollows.
Striking before and after photographs reveal just how ill Perla was before her rescue.
