Police constable shared racist messages

A GREATER Manchester Police officer shared 'grossly offensive and shocking' texts, photos, videos and memes. The now-former PC Christopher Saddoo exchanged 'numerous messages with a known third party'.

The head of GMP, Chief Constable Stephen Watson, said the contents of them included 'materials which are demonstrably and incontrovertibly racist, misogynistic and ableist'.

"Taken together, the content is grossly offensive and shocking," he said in a now-published ruling after a misconduct hearing held at force HQ in Newton Heath.

"Mr Saddoo knew, or ought to have known, that his conduct was reprehensive, morally indefensible and contrary to the standards and values of the force.
