Matt's ready to give his best for new head coach

MATTHIJS de Ligt has admitted that he does not know a great deal about new United boss Ruben Amorim as the club enters a new era under the former Sporting Lisbon head coach.

The 39-year-old started his new role on Monday after leaving the Portuguese side, who he led to two league titles in four-and-a-half years.

Amorim replaces Erik ten Hag, who was let go last month after overseeing a disappointing start to the season.

Ruud van Nistelrooy, who won’t be part of the new head coach’s backroom staff, went unbeaten as caretaker manager, restoring positivity at the club.
