MASSIVE FACTORY SITE BEING TURNED INTO FOOD AND DRINKS HUB
A HUGE food and drinks venue that can accommodate 5,000 revellers is set to open in the city centre this summer.
Diecast on the site of the former Presbar Diecast works - covers 250,000 square feet and is set to create more than 500 jobs.
The venue is situated just beyond the arches which once housed the Warehouse Project, between Ducie Street and Store Street.
It has been devised by Joel Wilkinson, Adelaide Winter and Dan Mullen, who met while working at favourite Manchester haunts like Trof and The Albert Hall.
Pizzas and margaritas venue Ramona was their first project together.
Aluminium specialists Diecast made everything from alloy wheels and machine parts to the wing mirrors for Lamborghinis.
The team behind the project inherited 14 fork lift trucks, along with vast amounts of abandoned industrial hardware.
