There has been lots of talk of a fresh start, and another £175m spent in the summer transfer window, but two defeats in their opening three games have left Blues feeling gloomy about the hopes of a transformation at the Etihad.
Pep Guardiola has put some of the issues down to teething problems with incorporating new players into his style of play, as well as pointing out that this has still really been their preseason given they only played one friendly after the Club World Cup.
Guardiola has also been at pains to highlight plenty of things from his team that he has seen so far and liked.
