Greener future for Tower of Light finally confirmed

MANCHESTER'S landmark heat network - which gave the city the award-winning 'Granada Familia' city centre tower - should finally start being green, the council has promised years after opening.
The Manchester Energy Network was launched three-and-a-half years ago.
The £24million scheme was dreamt up as a more efficient way for important city buildings, such as the Town Hall and Art Gallery, to be heated and powered.
