Dozens of 'safety risk' trees are felled on path

DOZENS of trees have been chopped down on a popular south Manchester walking and cycling path.

It's been confirmed 'a number of trees' were felled last week on the Fallowfield Loop, nicknamed the Floop.

The eight-and-a-half mile path is built on disused railway lines, offering pedestrians and cyclists a traffic-free route from east Manchester's Fairfield railway station to south Manchester suburb Chorlton, via Levenshulme and Fallowfield.
