Too much love is never a good thing for our dogs

ACCORDING to an article in The Times Dogs are increasingly seen as children surrogates by owners who chose a pet over a baby.

Too much love is never a good thing for our dogs

That has become increasingly obvious since the pandemic with an increasing number of owners spending incredible amounts of money on all kinds of doggie toys, clothing, shoes and buggies, etc.

It is not difficult to understand why owners do this. Puppies are cute and cuddly where many other pets are not.

I have never seen reptiles being fussed to the same degree as dogs or lizards encouraged to sleep on the bed. Horses are too large to be pets and cats march to the beat of their own drum.
