Council 'don't care' about flooded road

FLOODS on a street are causing mayhem for residents who are unable to use the road when it rains - but they say the council 'don't care' and have ignored their calls for help.

Locals on Fir Road in Bramhall, Stockport, claim the problem started last winter and now every time there is a downpour the street becomes waterlogged and unusable. It has led to pedestrians who use the road trying to clear the drains.

Ioannis Verdelis, 40, has lived on nearby Colwyn Road since 2018 and regularly walks down the flooded Fir Road with his children, aged six and eight, to take them to school.
