Corrie stars to pound streets for good cause
MEN on Sunday
|October 12, 2025
A HOST of famous faces, including Coronation Street stars and Radio 1 DJs, will be taking part in the Manchester Half Marathon today.
Around 26,000 runners will take on the 13.1-mile route, which starts and ends in Old Trafford, taking in Sale, Chorlton, Whalley Range, Hulme and the city centre along the way.
Amongst the thousands racing for personal bests, charities and organisations close to their hearts will be some notable participants from the world of showbiz and TV.
Coronation Street will be represented with Harriet Bibby (Summer Spellman), Calum Lill (Joel Deering) and Channique Sterling-Brown (Dee-Dee Bailey) all taking part.
"This will be my sixth half marathon," Harriet, who has been in the ITV soap since 2020, explained. "I am so excited to be running in this brilliant city. I know the crowds will be amazing and supportive."
