Carl beats some of world's best darts players while also fixing sewers

A DARTS player has taken the sport by storm with wins over some of the world's best players.

Carl 'Bomber' Sneyd, 37, from Shaw, Oldham, impressed in Holland this week as he took to the PDC Players Championship - b eating Stockport-born world No 11 Nathan Aspinall 6-5 and narrowly missing out against double world champion Peter Wright.

Carl started 2025 with a bang, embarking on his first Pro Tour of the year last week, where he beat world No 7 Dave Chisnall 6-4. For Carl, this year has been the 'highlight of his career' after winning his first Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) event, which he believes will 'open so many doors. He said: "Playing in arenas with guys you watch on TV is just surreal so I must be doing something right.
