Lightning dig deep for win

NETBALL

Lightning's defence proved vital as they battled to a hard-fought 72-68 win over Birmingham Panthers on Saturday at Sir David Wallace Arena
Panthers started brightly, but a key interception from Beth Cobden and slick connections between Sammy Wallace-Joseph and Berri Neil helped Lightning settle. After Panthers' landed the first supershot, Neil and Wallace-Joseph fought back and responded from range. Alice Harvey's late intercept secured a 20-18 lead at the break.
