LILY COLLINS TALKS TO LYNN RUSK ABOUT FILMING IN ITALY AND WORKING WITH MINNIE DRIVER AS EMILY IN PARIS RETURNS... TO ROME
-
DUST off your berets and most impractical outfits: Emily in Paris is back, and this season she is taking ona new European city - Rome.
The romantic comedy series, created by Sex and the City’s Darren Star and starring Lily Collins in the title role, hit our screens in 2020 and has cultivated a devoted global fanbase.
It centres on Chicago-born marketing executive Emily Cooper as she navigates life in Paris after landing her dream job.
However for season five, Emily embarks on an exciting new adventure in Rome, as she steps into her role as head of Agence Grateau, the luxury marketing agency owned by Sylvie Grateau, played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu.
Emily faces fresh professional and romantic challenges as she adjusts to a new city. But just when everything seems to be falling into place, a bold work idea backfires - sending shockwaves through both her personal life and career.
The new series welcomes back fan favourites including Ashley Park as Emily’s best friend Mindy Chen, Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, Samuel Arnold as Julien, and Bruno Gouery as Luc.
Joining them are Eugenio Franceschini as Emily's boyfriend Marcello and Lucien Laviscount as Alfie.
‘This season also introduces new faces, including Minnie Driver, 55, as Princess Jane, Sylvie's flamboyant friend and former partner in crime in Rome.
Lily, 36, who also is a series producer, says Emily is a lot more confident this time around.
“This year, Emily once again has more confidence, a stronger voice, and a more defined sense of identity,’ says Lily, who is the daughter of legendary musician Phil Collins.
