CELEBRATIONS have taken place all week across Merseyside as people commemorate VE Day - and dozens of street parties were held across the city yesterday.

In Lenthall Street and Foxglove Close in Walton, residents dressed their homes in bunting, and gathered in the streets to mark the anniversary with food and drink in the sunshine.
