TWO ARRESTED AFTER LOCALS REPORT HEARING SHOUTING

ARMED police descended on a Liverpool street yesterday morning after a man was stabbed, with neighbours hearing shouting before officers arrived at the scene.

Merseyside Police confirmed armed officers rushed to Moscow Drive at around 11.10am after reports from North West Ambulance Service that a man was being treated for a stab wound to his arm and face.

The victim, a 50-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment. A 54-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent, and a 76-year-old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
