Liverpool Echo

March 25, 2025

MORE and more people in Liverpool are having to face the legal system alone.

With legal aid harder to access than ever, family courts are seeing a rise in people representing themselves - often in the most emotional and high-stakes cases.

Parents are navigating child arrangements, financial disputes, and even domestic abuse cases with no legal support. It’s a crisis playing out in courtrooms across the country, and Liverpool is no exception.
