MISSING out on Britpop concert tickets is hardly a sufferance when you can roll with it by marvelling at the wonders of a garden oasis.

A refreshing bird bath and two bumblebee water dishes have been a godsend for wildlife in a time of drought and heatwaves, with dawn-to-dusk performances from a stellar lineup of thirsty backyard favourites.

Headliners were flying in to drink their fill and spruce up feathers worn threadbare by the exertions of the spring breeding season.

The set list included robins, woodpigeons, house sparrows, starlings, blue tits and blackbirds.
