Shutdown at JLR to continue for a week

STAFF GIVEN NEW UPDATE AS FALLOUT FROM CYBER ATTACK CONTINUES

JAGUAR Land Rover (JLR) has looked to offer “clarity” to partners and employees in a new update after production paused as a result of a cyber attack at the beginning of the month.

The ECHO was the first to reveal that JLR had been hit by a cyber attack on September 1, with the company moving swiftly to shut down its production operations around the world - including its key UK site of Halewood.

Production at the nation’s largest car manufacturer has remained stood down ever since that date, with workers continually told to stay at home with no idea when they might return to work. In a new update from the company, it announced the expected date for production to resume has been pushed back again.
