Saints ready to Rowley with it
Liverpool Echo
|October 18, 2025
ST Helens have announced the appointment of Paul Rowley as their new head coach on a three-year deal.
Rowley, who left Salford after steering them through a crisis-hit season last month, replaces former Saints boss Paul Wellens, whose contract was not renewed.
Prior to their financial meltdown, Rowley consistently exceeded expectations at Salford, leading them into the playoffs twice in his four seasons at the helm.
Rowley said: "It's a great privilege to be joining St Helens, and to come to an environment and organisation that's solid and proven in success.
"It feels like an exciting challenge for me, different in many respects, and I'll be looking to step in to put my own stamp on things with positive changes and have a real influence.
