Moyes wants this to be just the START for Dibling

DAVID Moyes was full of praise for Tyler Dibling after the teenager produced his best display for Everton.

- By JOE THOMAS

The winger played a full 90 minutes at Nottingham Forest after earning just his third start since he became the most expensive signing of Everton's summer rebuild.

And Moyes was provided positives in both directions as he offered a threat going forward while also working hard defensively as Everton battled to a 2-0 win at the City Ground.

It has the potential to be a breakthrough moment for the 19-year-old, who has struggled to make an impression since moving from Southampton in a deal valued around an initial £35m.

Moyes had spoken highly of him but had appeared reluctant to expose the England youth international during the opening months of the campaign - with the exception of the home win over Crystal Palace. Dibling started that game but was withdrawn with Everton behind at halftime.

With Iliman Ndiaye at the Africa Cup of Nations, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall injured and Jack Grealish ill, opportunities have emerged for Dibling in the past week.
