Moyes' defensive dilemma for the Wolves challenge

DAVID Moyes will have to choose whether or not to keep faith in his favoured back four for the visit of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

He reverted to a centre-back partnership of Michael Keane and James Tarkowski at the first time of asking against Brentford but the pair struggled to deal with Igor Thiago as the Blues lost 4-2 in a chastening start to 2026 at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Moyes has placed faith in the pairing, with Vitalii Mykolenko and Jake O'Brien at fullback for most of the season.

But given O'Brien's dominant displays on the two occasions he has covered Keane, and the struggle the side is enduring through the lack of attacking thrust from either full back, this fixture offers an opportunity to reconsider his approach.
