CROSBY REVEALS INJURED STAR HIT WITH EMOTIONS
Connor Jennings
ANDY Crosby has challenged his Tranmere Rovers players to step up and take responsibility in the absence of the injured Connor Jennings ahead of this afternoon’s League Two fixture against fourth-placed Salford City.
The Rovers forward is set for a long spell on the sidelines after he sustained injuries to his ACL, MCL and meniscus in Tuesday's last gasp defeat away to Barnet.
Crosby believes the rest of his squad should take a leaf out of Jennings’ book against Salford, as Tranmere look to pick up at Prenton Park.
He said: “It is important that other people step up because we are going to miss him on an everyday basis in terms of what he brings because he is one of those professionals who goes out and trains at 100% every single day.
"He doesn’t need to be asked, told or demanded of - that’s his own personal standard. So, we have to have that individually and collectively.”
