Ahead of their return to Liverpool next weekend, Dublin duo Belters Only reflect on their huge success and how it's been a 'crazy' few years
FEW new electronic acts have had the sort of impact achieved by Irish duo Belters Only.
The Dublin-based double act, made up of friends Robbie Griffiths aka Robbie G and Conor Bissett who simply goes by Bissett, released their debut single, the catchy Make Me Feel Good, in 2021.
The track went to number one in Ireland making them the first Irish dance act in more than 20 years to take the top spot, and reached the top five in the UK. It also racked up a whopping 94m streams on Spotify.
Robbie and Bissett followed it with two more bangers, I Will Survive which reworks Gloria Gaynor's hit, and Don’t Stop Just Yet, before turning their attention to live performance.
In the summer of 2023 they sold out Dublin’s 14,000-capacity 3Arena in just half an hour.
They pulled off another sellout for their date at the same venue earlier this year.
After smashing two shows at Blackstone Street Warehouse in 2023, next weekend the pair return to Liverpool, this time for a Halloween show at Invisible Wind Factory.
But first Robbie G found time to answer a few questions for the ECHO clubs page.
