METRO Mayor Steve Rotheram has warned rail infrastructure will “let us down every single year” in winter weather after services ground to a halt earlier this week.

In Wirral, the Ellesmere Port and Chester lines were suspended from Rock Ferry on Tuesday and all services on the Ormskirk line were also suspended during the key morning period, as were services on the Hunts Cross line.
