STAN Collymore knows a thing or two about the pressures that come with being a big-money Liverpool signing.

So the former Reds striker is well placed to run the rule over the trio of major arrivals that landed at Anfield last summer.

And there's one in particular that has most impressed the ex-England international.

Liverpool's transfer window was bookended with the £116million move for Florian Wirtz and the protracted British record £125m capture of Alexander Isak commanding the headlines.

But it was the move for Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal that could eventually cost Liverpool £79m that has been the most effective so far this season, with 12 goals in 30 appearances with only four Premier League players having scored more in the top flight.
