THE Walker Art Gallery has been named among the best budgetfriendly days out in the whole of the UK.

More than 4,000 people took part in the survey for consumer group Which?

The Walker Art Gallery was named among the 10 best free museums and galleries with a summary that said: “One of the biggest art galleries outside London, it has works by Rubens, Rembrandt and Turner.
