A CRUEL owner starved her French Bulldog puppy so badly that it had to be put down.

CRUEL OWNER STARVED AND NEGLECTED HER DOGS

The five-month-old puppy, called Baby Yoda, was found in an “extremely poor, emaciated condition” with “all of the bones of the spine, ribs and hip bones protruding through the skin”.

His suffering was discovered in January this year, when the dog was brought to a vet by a friend of his owner, Victoria Rose Fildes, of Church Road in Wallasey.

Baby Yoda was in a collapsed state, and the RSPCA said: "The vet found his prognosis was so poor that euthanasia was sadly the only viable option.

“A postmortem identified prolonged starvation with a secondary worm burden as the likely cause of the poor body condition.”

RSPCA inspector Anthony Joynes was contacted by the veterinary practice.
