STARS GLAM UP ON RED CARPET ON EVE OF EAGERLY AWAITED ONE-OFF CROSSOVER WITH HOLLYOAKS

STARS headed to the red carpet at St George's Hall to celebrate the return of iconic Liverpool soap Brookside.

It was a memorable evening as Hollyoaks and Brookside stars turned out on the red carpet to mark the 30th anniversary of Hollyoaks.

Channel 4 announced earlier this year they would be marking the legendary milestone with an exciting crossover episode with Brookside.

Some of the Brookside cast arrived in style at the star-studded event on Monday for the premiere of the long-awaited episode. The ECHO spoke to some iconic Brookside stars on the red carpet, including Louis Emerick and Suzanne Collins.

Both actors were keen to head back to the Close for filming for the one-off episode last month and are excited for soap fans to see the episode come to life on screen on Wednesday.

Stars such as Paul Usher, Philip Olivier, Suzanne Collins, Michael Starke and John McArdle have all reprised their roles for the one-off episode.
