Women charged over city protest

FIVE women have been charged in connection with a protest at a drone factory in the city.

During the incident, individuals allegedly locked themselves on to vehicles and fencing at UAV Tactical Systems at Meridian Business Park, Braunstone Town.
Police officers attended just before 5.15am on Tuesday, September 23 after a van had allegedly been driven at bollards outside the premises.
Six women were initially arrested on suspicion of "locking on" to a person, object or land to cause serious disruption.
