Slow down - new speed limits begin tomorrow

NEW speed limits are to be introduced on dozens of roads in Leicester tomorrow.

Officials say the new 20mph limits will help reduce accidents and encourage cycling and walking in two target areas.

The 20mph limits were approved by Leicester City Council last month for parts of Aylestone and in the St Joseph's and Netherhall area.

The new speed limits will come into force on 51 roads (see panel below).
