Pitchfork band poster picture dismays family

RELATIVES of one of Colin Pitchfork’s victims have expressed dismay after his mugshot was used on posters for a gig at a Leicester venue.

The poster, which advertised several bands, was spotted by Lewis Eaton - grandson of Lynda Mann's uncle - while he was attending a work Christmas party at Firebug on Leicester's Millstone Lane.

Posters had been placed on the stairs, wall and in the bathroom.

Lynda was the first of the two 15-year-olds Pitchfork murdered in the 1980s.

Mr Eaton said he immediately recognised the image on the poster.

The 23-year-old said: “I wasn’t born when it happened, but I’ve heard enough about it from so many family members to know it was still a family member of mine, regardless of whether I met them or not.”
