VIVIANNE Miedema scored a first-half double as leaders Manchester City eased to a 6-0 Women's Super League victory over bottom side Leicester City.

A ruthless first-half display saw City score four goals in 16 minutes, when Khadija Shaw nodded home and Miedema scored twice in quick succession before Yui Hasegawa’s strike gave the league leaders a 4-0 advantage at halftime.

Kerolin and Aoba Fujino both struck after the break to leave Leicester at the foot of the table with a fourth straight loss.

City are eight points clear of second-placed Manchester United, who beat London City Lionesses 2-1.

Millie Turner was United's matchwinner as they saw off the top flight newcomers to claim a fourth successive WSL victory.
