STEPHEN Graham has revealed he feared he had lost the Golden Globe he won for Adolescence just hours after the ceremony.

The Leicestershire star, who won the best actor in a TV mini series prize at the ceremony last week, described a frantic rush to the airport to report for work in Spain the next day - and a mix-up meaning his suitcase with its precious contents "didn't make the plane" he was on.

In an interview with Capital Breakfast, the 52-year-old, who lives in Ibstock, recounted how the award, presented to him at a glittering ceremony in Los Angeles, was left thousands of miles away in the US while he jetted off to Europe.

Graham said: "I had to go straight from LA the day after the Golden Globes to Madrid as I had to be on set the next day."

He flew from LA to Atlanta, Georgia, then on to Madrid.
