Family business is still blooming 40 years on

|November 25, 2025
A FAMILY florist is celebrating 40 years of business.
AA Moore & Son opened in Kirby Muxloe in 1985, when Arthur Albert Moore, alongside son Jeremy, decided to open his own store, having had a stall at Leicester Market for 40 years.
The shop originally started by selling groceries, but evolved to focus solely on plants, flowers, and gift cards.
The family business is now run by Amy Frank, Jeremy's daughter, meaning that the store has been passed down through three generations of the family.
Amy said she fell into the job from a young age.
"I did a 'take your daughter to work day' when I was 12," she said.
"I've had a Saturday job or something to do with the business ever since, until one day I took it over.
