A NEW Scouts unit has been launched due to so many youngsters staying on.

Explorer Scout Unit for young people aged 14 to 17 meets at the 28th/61st Wigston Scout HQ, 100a Central Avenue on Wednesdays at 7pm and volunteers are being sought.

Volunteer Nigel said: "Scouting provides over 250 activities. These range from abseiling to cooking, fencing to music and pioneering to water activities.
