Children's home plan refused for third time

PERMISSION for a children’s home has been refused.

Mayur Bhatt wanted to create the home in Eastway Road, Wigston, and asked Oadby and Wigston Borough Council whether he could do it without formal planning permission.

Mr Bhatt said the layout would have only minor internal alterations and that the home would operate “as one household” and should therefore be classed, for planning purposes, as residential.
