CARDIFF City are on the verge of appointing Leicester City assistant manager Brian Barry-Murphy as their new boss, it has been claimed.
The former Manchester City academy coach has decided now is the time to take his first managerial job since being in charge of Rochdale in 2021.
The Irishman’s decision comes amid uncertainty over the future of City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy following the club’s relegation to the Championship.
Leicester have reached an agreement with Cardiff over a compensation package, and discussions with Barry-Murphy over his contract at the Cardiff City Stadium are at an advanced stage, reports Sky Sports.
