Appeal as car driver critically ill in hospital

A MAN is critically ill in hospital after a car crash on a country lane.

The man, in his 30s, was found in his car which had ended up in a ditch alongside the side of Fenn Lanes, near Dadlington.

Police were alerted just before 6am on Saturday, when a passerby spotted a silver Ford Fiesta in the ditch.

Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service were soon at the scene and the man was rushed to hospital.
