Swap your old ways for green ways

WEEK OF EVENTS ACROSS TOWN WILL ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO MAKE CHANGES

DORKING residents are being encouraged to “swap old ways for better ways” during a week of green activities.

Following on from last year’s success, events will run across the town as part of Great Big Green Week, from poetry to picnincs and litter picks, from Saturday (June 7) to Sunday June 15.

The week is set to be the UK's biggest ever celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature. This year, one million people are expected to take part in events celebrating the every day actions being taken to stand up for nature and fight climate change.

The Great Big Green Week’s theme - ‘let's swap together for good’ - encourages people to swap items, habits, skills, knowledge and ways so we can each play our part in protecting the planet.
