Wandering ferret back home after five months on the run

A teenage girl was left with tears of joy when her beloved pet ferret was found miles away from home - five months after disappearing.
Kayleigh Smith, 15, was devastated when Buddy disappeared from home in Leyland in the early hours of New Year's Eve, having seemingly escaped through an open window.
“I was home on New Year's Eve and I’d left my window open without realising,” Kayleigh explained.
“I walked into my room and realised it was open and I just couldn’t find him.”
A search followed along with pleas for help on Facebook but seemingly without any luck.
