UCLan urged to rule out forced redundancies

The University of Central Lancashire has been challenged to rule out any compulsory redundancies as the higher education section continues to face major financial challenges.

The Preston-based university, which is to be renamed as the University of Lancashire, has undergone several rounds of job cuts in recent years as it faced the impacts of inflation, flat tuition fees and falling numbers of higher-paying international students.
