One of the biggest changes that can trigger this anxiety is the loss of a loved one.
Grief is a long process, involving love, sorrow and loss. It can be painful but it's also a huge adjustment that can leave our nervous system in shock as we attempt to navigate a new and unfamiliar reality.
When anxiety is felt in the body, it can feel like danger is afoot, even while we are home and safe. It may feel like we're shaking on the inside or our heart is racing. It becomes difficult to relax and just be in our body.
